She lost her parents (Both of which are blades) during a crossing on an area with a broken lodelight. This was orchestrated by a specific guild Fortune Finders who had bad blood with her parents who are prominent members of a rival guild. She was able to get to a lodelight area but still got killed there which resulted in her permanently losing her left eye due to Revival Mutation.

- Bonnie Davidsen Merriweather - She is her best friend. They met through their old guild Bloody Cross. Chitose is really bad at forming relationships with others. This is due to her mostly seeing her interactions with people as purely transactional. However, due to being partnered, they went through 100+ missions together. Faced hardships and eventually came to understand one another more than anyone else. Bonnie understands her struggles with people and gives her encouragement to keep going. On the other hand, Chitose also understand Bonnie’s complex at being constantly made out to be an enemy by other people. In turn Chitose serves as her unconditional ally no matter what.
